It might claim that it's crazy, but it's really pretty tame. Crazy Sudoku is the latest in a long, unending line of cheap DSiWare sudoku solutions -- some of them have been good, some of them bad. This one's somewhere in the middle.
There's no handwriting recognition in this version, so it's all poking at spaces and number icons with stylus taps instead -- or using the all-buttons alternative, which is functional but a bit time-consuming. The options are fair, with both 6x6 and 9x9 puzzle types included and a variety of different difficulty settings to choose from.
Probably the biggest, most unique feature that Crazy Sudoku can boast about specifically is its two-player competitive mode -- it's kind of cool. One player plays for a solid minute, trying to fill in as many numbers in the grid as possible. When the minute's up, the system gets passed to the second player who tries to do the same. It's a back-and-forth battle to see who can contribute the most to the proper solution -- an interesting combination of competition, cooperation and sudoku.
But I still wouldn't call any of that "crazy."
